2011 Enfield Heron Lake Chardonnay begins as joyous study of The Jura by one of California’s hand crafters, John Lockwood. Pie, some kind of chemical ‘ane, pineapple & flowers. Even better after an hour open but not a wine to hand someone who needs a glass of wine, I’m listening to The Brandenburg Concerto with this.
2013 Carlisle The Deriative is a lovely counterpoint and our familial sucked this down like it had the antidote. Think Led Zep, The Lemon Song as there was a little heat. Went great with locally-canned, jalapeño & garlic albacore melts using fresh bakery sourdough. So delicious.
