Mougins, France / Cannes area / Provence trip

I’ve been to Provence several times, but I would love to get the board’s wisdom on great little towns to visit, great restaurants, good beaches, etc. etc. Looks like I will be based on Mougins just outside of Cannes. Thanks! champagne.gif

Just a couple off the top of my head are St Paul de Vence, a great hilltop village, and Eze, which is also a hilltop town. If you have a chance have lunch at Chateau de la Chèvre d’Or in the two star Michelin restaurant or at least have a drink on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. - 5 star hotel Château de la Chèvre d'or | Luxury hotel on the French Riviera

First things that came to my mind… Make sure you visit the great museum in/near St. Paul de Vence (I don’t recall the name) and leave time to wander the towns.

We used to base ourselves out of Mougins. A nice base, but we haven’t been there for a decade, so a grain of salt me be required.

Moulin de Mougins is local and was first rate (Cuisine de Soleil), but we haven’t been the since Roger Verge passed. Chèvre d’Or is Eze is excellent and sites beautifully. Eze is a bit crowded untitled the busses leave, but they have love an excellent lunch and great dinner. For an old school French experience, the restaurant in the hotel Le Cagnard in Haut de Cagnes is classic (getting to the Hotel is a trip)
