At least lower alcohol. Respect that day 2 approach but really tend to Sharon first.
Iām concerned about Sharonās leg being preserved in the fridge.
Thereās a fish variety of chocolate?
But did he like it?
Apparently so. Wish my 100 point wines cost $15.
11.5% alcohol; imported by CIV (USA), Sacramento, California; unusual disclaimer on the label denying any connection with Louis Roedererās Cristal Champaign; standard wire cage with a decorative enameled cap depicting a scene more reminiscent of Chinaās Great Wall than anything in Spain; light to medium foil, composite cork; weak to moderate pressure with surprisingly few bubbles; the Cava is a deep apple-juice amber with fast to medium legs; the stopper has no aroma but the Cava itself has a deep-welling nose of peach nectar, pear juice, and apple/crabapple juice embedded in a haze of alcohol; > the bottle was opened yesterday to celebrate Motherās Day (inauspiciously as it turns out; Sharon fell down and fractured her leg early this morning), > preserved in the fridge and with a Mumm stopper, and not really evaluated until 24 hours later, at approximately 20 degrees C; as I first recognized yesterday, this sparkling wine appeals to the middle and back of the tongue, leaving a long finish one doesnāt often find in āthe traditional methodā (secondary fermentation in the bottle, this bottle, as the label puts it); sweetness is minimized in favor of something far deeper, a kind of fruity bitterness that lingers on the tongue; pair with organ meats like heart, liver, and tongue, or with hard cheeses like Gouda, Emmenthaler, Gruyeāre
Accurate but useless.

So - marmalade?
pair with organ meats like heart, liver, and tongue, or with hard cheeses like Gouda,
Really struggling to think what covers both these bases.

At least the Mumm stopper should keep her screaming under control.
I avoided this thread for so long because I feared with my luck, Iād see someone trashing a note I posted. However, now I see itās just a place to appreciate gems like āAt Nacyāsā and:

Would not worry if someone does not like a note you wrote. At any given time on Cellar Tracker you can get some gems.

Tasted by J⦠S⦠on 1/25/2022 & rated 80 points: Pleasant example, good fruit and clean. Sl disappointed as lacked some complexity201 tasting notes and then this one. Why do these people even post on Cellar Tracker? Of course the user does not take comments which should tell you everything.
For themselves. To remember their thoughts. Thatās why I do it.

No kidding but really an 80 point score on this wine? The next lowest is 85. If you donāt like the style at least score it appropriately or do a no score. This is not an 80 point wine.

I think itās inappropriate to tell others how to score wines unsolicitated. Just ignore the person if you donāt like their notes.

Please donāt tell me how to score my wines.
Is this your note? Donāt think it is so who is telling you how to score your wine?
After following this last bottle marathon I am thinking anything James Suckling rates.

No I am not addressing comments to all of you. I am sure the author is not going to read my post just like all of the other worthless tasting notes that are in this thread. I have seen much lower scores of wines with a 92 point average. Some tracker users are not very good at detecting flaws in wines.

Not sure if thereās a minimum character limit in this forum, or whether anyone would get it, so - just saw a review where the entirety of it was a single period:

You have to admit that it is damn tough tasting wine and taking notes when outside in a blizzard, especially on a Friday.
