Most expensive California Pinot ever? $384 a btl!!!!

Today one of the staff members at my firm found out I was a wine-fan and told me about this winery, Georgeff Vineyards. When I checked out the website I was shocked at the price of $384 a bottle for Central Coast Pinot.

Is this the most expensive pinot ever seen at the winery level? (before secondary market markups) And WOWSERS that is an expensive california pinot O_O

Georgeff Vineyards is nestled in the central coastal region of California on 500+ rare acres of north-facing slopes in Arroyo Grande, selected by the Georgeff family because of its idyllic climate, setting and reputation for producing the finest grape in the world.

Alan Georgeff and his brothers are the third generation of family vintners to make California wines of uncompromising quality. Their passion for distinctive vintages is the cornerstone of the Georgeff Vineyard tradition.

anyone have any clue on this?

I sure hope it comes in a big heavy bottle…

lol

you think for $384 a bottle they could afford a web designer

“interpretively priced”

I like it.

Do you think my clients will appreciate it when I institute an “interpretive” billing/pricing program?

D’oh! I’m a lawyer, they already assume I have.

Inaugural vintage?

INTERPRETIVELY PRICED FOR THAT DISTINCTIVE BUYER
384.00 U.S DOLLARS
PER BOTTLE

damn that is a sweet ass box, I might be a buyer now

Definitely in the running for the lamest website ever!

Yeah like a 6.0 ltr

Never heard of them.

Has somebody been to the Ghost Horse school of marketing?

If I had 500 acres of good vineyard land, I could produce just about anything.

And you can quote me on that.

Impressive.

They do mean one single grape, right? Impressive.

I am just thinking about the amount of good Burgundy I can drink with $384…

That’s terrible.

Quoting scripture on a winery web site- not such a good idea.
And 2004? Is that their one and only vintage? They didn’t sell out because of the “interpretive” pricing? [rofl.gif]

Linda, you beat me to it.

Not to be too sacrilegious, but that website seems to suggest the winemaker is in touch with those “higher up.” The interpretive pricing must come from the winemaker’s ability to walk on water.

in for a case!

I think he was the one that developed this iPhone app too…

Is there a case discount???

Done. [neener.gif]

I’ll have to have a look-see…I sure do love me some boxes!
