Several good insects have been showing up in our chenin blanc block . The first is a black lady beetle that is known to eat scale insects and aphids. My apologies to those that are sensitive to seeing beetles doing the “wild thing”. The second are spined soldier beetle eggs that are neatly nestled in the inflorescence of a future chenin blanc cluster.

I’ve never seen a black lady beetle before. I think I have a few different types based on appearance but all are red. I haven’t bothered to look them up before but probably will now.
Keep the pictures coming.
