I got an email from my favoured seafood providore letting me know that they had just landed a shipment of snap frozen Mooloolaba king prawns…
Of course the only proper treatment for Aussie prawns is cooking them on the barbie (BBQ) and serving them with an Aussie Chardy.
2016 Tolpuddle Chardonnay (Tasmania)
Slight hint of matchstick reduction when I removed the screwcap, lovely layered fruit with a backdrop of quality French oak, restrained greenish melon and good length.
Very nice wine and a great match for the prawns
