Headed there for a 4 day conference at downtown Hilton. Won’t have much time to venture far, but welcome any suggestions for don’t-miss beer or wine bars in that general area. On the beer side, I’ve eyed Democratic Republic of Beer, Wynwood Brewing, and for decent restaurant selections…OTC and Biscayne Tavern. Prefer to find some local brews (of which there are a few but not tons).

Those are all local breweries. Michael’s Genuine Food (which is great) also brews its own beer with help from Back 40 Brewery called Michael’s Genuine Home Brew and its good.
You can also find plenty of other Florida breweries down there, like Cigar City or Funky Buddha.
5 Cigar City beers on tap at the bar where I’m sitting. Jai Alai, invasion Pale, raspberry wit, chickory dickory choc, lue gim gong, and maduro. Of course there’s also 4 Goose Island beers from IL?’
