Our annual Jets tailgate wine party will be Jet v Browns on October 11. 1 pm. I prefer the 11th for Berserkers willing to drink wine appropriate for outdoors with grilled meat are invited. I expect to pour appropriate wines, which means full bore Napa Cabs and Paso GSM blends. Probably a Saxum mag, a TRB cab , an SQN white blend and, for the francophiles, a 2003 Clos Saint Jean Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Combe des Fous (by P. Cambie). If necessary, I have a surplus of 2015 Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches Rouge for the faint of heart if someone wants a Burg.
Food: TBD based upon what our regular crew wants to make. I will try to make a home cured corned beef, which is alleged to be classically Cleveland, and maybe Polish Boy sandwiches, but French Fries and Cole Slaws on Kielbasa seems like a bad choice. Plus whatever looks good in the red meat department that week, and my grandson will want either grilled shrimp or whole fried Branzino.
