Matthew Wallace Project

Any knowledge or comments on this new Cabernet project?

I think it goes back to 2012 or 2013. I have one of their 2018 ‘Regusci Vineyard’ cabs in the cellar but haven’t drank any of their wines to date. It’s a Matt Hardin and TRB collaboration, although Julian Fayard was winemaker at the beginning. I think they do a Napa cab addition to the Regusci Vineyard cab.

I have some 2013 and 2014 (not listed as single vineyard), and all where very good, reasonably priced wines - especially given the winemaker. I haven’t had any of the newer wines, and none listed as single vineyard. But, prices listed on CT still seem pretty reasonable.

Thank You.

Matt Wallace is a vineyard manager in Napa and is the son in-law to Jimmy Regusci (Jimmy owns a large Vyd management company and winery in Napa). He is partners with TRB on this project and uses fruit from several of the vineyards he farms (I think a good chunk of pope valley) as well as from the Regusci Vyd in stags leap.

Wines have always gotten great praise in the QPR discussion.

Thank you kind sir. I will proceed and purchase.
