Wonderful dish tonight on a bed of capellini and sauteed spinach.
Looks great, Tony!!
Thanks…I don’t have the camera equipment of Mel Hill (or his photog skills) but I do the best I can with the iPhone!!! Super tasty!
Bet that was delicious.
I have one of Batali’s cookbooks, I should give it another look…
Frank it was. Rocky Jr chicken breast pounded thin some sage and prosciutto. Traci cooked it perfectly. I have cooked much from the batali cookbooks we have but when we have the results have been excellent.
Very nice indeed. I have tried this one as well with sucess as well.
Thanks!
One of your best so far Tony!
It is tough this time of year due to the poor light at dinner time.
Hence, I’m shooting lunch more and more this winter.
I had to put the plate under a lamp then angle myself and the plate just right! I thought of you as I was adjusting for shadows
I have done this recipe as well. It was great. I have had real good success with Batali’s cookbooks.
Mario Batali spoke at a Rutgers College graduation ceremony a few years ago – I was sitting behind him on the platform in cap and gown, so I couldn’t see his face, but I could see the faces of the families as Mario talked about spending his Rutgers years getting stoned or drunk… I don’t mean to sound disapproving, the crowd as a whole ate it up, and laughed a lot, but maybe some of the new graduates had some interesting conversations with Mom and Dad afterwards.
I’ve enjoyed his recipes and his restaurants, even “Otto” the “pizza place” was great at least partially because of a very imaginative wine list with good prices considering it’s in Manhattan.
That certainly isn’t the first time that he has been “off-color” when speaking to a group. I have heard quite a few stories about that type of situation.
I find most TV chefs annoying and I have to admit that I found a couple of Mario’s shows irritating because I didn’t like the dumb schtick. But when you get past the schtick, the man knows how to cook and really loves good cooking.
