Any one know how long the Marcassin wait list is lately?
I got on the waitlist in February 2016 and in June 2025 I got an email asking to confirm my address. So that’s about 9.5 years (my mouth was off by a year in a previous post). Of course I don’t have any wine yet, so technically I’m still on the waitlist…
Same - I signed up March 2017, got my letter June 2026. Sending my check in today, hopefully they cash it.
Got off the waitlist. My check is in the mail. Last time I wrote an actual paper check was in 2021.

Had 04 chard at lunch this week.
Astounding wine.
Thought it was ox’d, but butterscotch receded to creme brûlée, some spear mint came in, fruit crystallized on top. We followed over 4 hours or so.

I got an offer letter today. My address…someone else’s name and contact info.
Also got a letter today for Pinot. Does anyone know if the buying this gets you just future Pinot offers or if the Chardonnay would be included as well?
Back in late 2021 I had the same offer for Pinot-only as there was more of the 2013 to sell in a bountiful year and I was “close” to making the active list. Made the active list on this go around and the offer included Chardonnay – I suspect that if you make the active list that you will also be offered Chardonnay.
How often does Marcassin have releases?
Whenever the spirit moves them. There is no other timeline.
I have my envelope to be mailed tomorrow. Was going to only take 3 of 6. Sounds like I should ask for 6 of 6.
Got my letter and sending off my check for six bottles tomorrow. I wonder how many folks are passing at getting in for this offer once the letter is received. Not me - let’s see if the allocation comes through.

I passed (too much wine already - 5 years ago I would have been all in) and the other guy I contacted said he wasn’t interested in buying, either.
I wonder how the market for high-priced bottles is holding up.

I’ve been lucky enough to have been offered the 2013 vintage a few years ago and the 2021 vintage last year.
These are exceptional wines (in my humble opinion) and I’m in for whatever limit they allow.
Popped a 2021 Pinot last night and it was magnificent after the decant.
How long did you decant for? I was thinking of opening a 21 but I was worried it was too early
They are very fruit forward. Double decanted for an hour them decanted for an hour. Was very good and continues to improve in the glass.

The 6 bottles of 2013 I bought in 2021, though only opened on special occasions with good friends, did not last until their most recent offer.
