I have some friends staying at The Standard on Washington street. Are there any great veggie restaurants you can recommend?

Nothing fancy, but I love Zen Palate (http://www.zenpalate.com/). Looks like they have 4 locations around the city. My husband ate there all the time when he lived in the city a decade ago.

Dirt Candy & Kajitsu are two of my favorites. Mamoun’s Falafel is not to be missed. I hit vegetarian places when my veggie friends are in town to visit.

I can vouch for Quantum Leap, quite good!

Pure Food and Wine, especially if it’s still local produce season.

Gobo , Candle 79 and Blossom are all very good. I have had good meals at Pure food and wine but my last meal was terrible.

have passed them on, though i fancy Pure food & wine myself. May try next time in the city.
