Manhattan NYC (March 4th, 2024)

Hi,

Confirming for Monday, 6pm?
I am going to bring an Amarone and/or a CA Cab/Cab blend.
Anyone bringing white or Champagne? I could bring one of those as well instead of two reds.

See you on Monday at 6 pm.

I will bring aged Nebbiolo and a Sparkling wine from the Mosel (gotta cleanse the palette between so many heavy reds).

Yes, Monday (March 4th, 2024 @ 6 pm).
Reservation is under my name.

I’ll be there at 6! I’ll bring something sweet for desert as well as either the 2012 Sagrantino di Montefalco or '07 CdP.

confirmed, thinking about a 97 Burgess cab and a 2019 v-telegraph cdp

Bringing 13 Zind Humbrecht Brand Riesling and 07 Sette Ponti Oreno.

Does anyone have a good idea of how the stems are at Hawksmoor?

I actually went there a couple of weeks ago. I don’t recall the brand but the stems are fine, unless you insist on having specific glasses. Here’s a pic.

Thanks alot, Sam. Looks like a beauty. Tom

Andre, I posted earlier today. Tom

bringing a 1993 Ravenswood Sangiacomo Vineyard Merlot magnum and Ultramarine. Could bring La Rogerie, Chartogne Taillet, or Chenin Blanc as well if others wanted to try.

Given the age & quality of the bottles above, someone plz bring a durand…(I have no idea about the decanting plans of ppl…but let’s assume at least one good old wine isn’t decanted).

( I have a durand knockoff that I’ve used successfully on some 20-30yr old bottles - including the '01 Suduiraut I’ll be bringing - but would not dare mangle the cork of someone else’s treasure.)

Hi folks, we had our kids over this weekend and both tested positive, and now I’m not feeling great, gonna stay in tonight, sorry to miss it, enjoy!

See everyone tonight at 6!

Hope you feel better soon Jeff.

Thanks Andre and Brent for organizing the group. Nice meeting everyone at dinner and the sharing of great wine with food. definitely a lot of adventures and good stories packed into one night. the collage of wines worked, and all different were drinking well.

the 2020 burgs were a good contrast. destemmed versus whole cluster, mostly lighter red fruit vs deeper fruit and spice. Sunny thanks sharing the delightful Cuvee Duvault-Blochet. Andre the Gerbert Petit Monts was delicious. fun to try the Schamsberg, ZH Brand and the Italians reds with the US Nebbiolo. Phil, everyone appreciated the sauternes; was a good finish.

Looks like you guys had a great time. Sad I missed it!

Great meeting everyone for first time and the generosity of sharing the wines.
Looking forward for next visit to NYC again.
