Does anyone have any experience with living in Luxembourg? I’m contemplating a short term rotation in Luxembourg (city) with my firm, and was wondering if anyone has any insights on lifestyle, cost of living, etc. in the area. My wife will be on maternity leave during this time, so it seems like a great opportunity to live in Europe without giving up our careers.
As nobody seems to chime in I´ll give it a try.
A friend of mine lived there until a few weeks ago, and the feeling was that it is a bit
isolated. Yes, it is near the Mosel vineyards (if you love Riesling), but everything else
is far away. Especially for your non-working spouse it will feel a bit…well…like being
somewhere in the canadian woods…
Look at it on a map - see how far it is from Paris and/or Frankfurt. This is where the next
proper theater/concert/wine tasting will be…
