Today we went to Maria’s with four Gelbs and Lester Gibo. We each a Margarita to start; then we ordered our food - Carollee had her usual !00% Agave Special, I had a Macho Cowboy, Xiao-Pei and Andrew each had a Green Chile Centennial (with associated glasses), Lester had a Sauza Commerativo, and Marshall and Diana each had a Camella’s Fella. Then we ordered our food - Xaio-Pei, Lester, and I each had a Green Chile Stew, Carollee had her usual rib appetizer with blue cheese, Diana had a cup of green chile stew with a small green salad, Andrew and Marshall each had Green Chile Cheeseburger. Then I ordered a Sweetheart. Eventually Lester, Andrew, Marshall, and Diana ordered their second Margaritas. When we were finished with our meals, we ordered a flan to share with the table. It was a very good flan. Then we left.
OK Dick, Why do I suspect dinner will be much more interesting…
No, we just had Averna Amaro tonite. However, Diana & Marshall Gelb and Lester Gibo are coming over for Green Chile Chicken tomorrow night.
Actually, it was quite an interesting lunch with lots of conversation. And since it was Memorial Day, my second margarita was called the “USS Santa Fe Fast Attack” to salute the fast attack submarine named for the city.
