OK, time to kick off the second half of the year - @Ian_Alper and I figured we’d try for Cavalletta on a Sunday afternoon again. Can you make July 27th, 5:00pm? All are welcome!

@JKMoore, you’re in for this Sunday. Ken was able to update the reservation to 14. We’ll draw the line there, any additional sign ups are going to be wait list only.
Taken before Ken optimized the order, but you’ll get the idea
Good to see everyone, was nice to have a Sunday afternoon get together again. 2012 Lichen was a positive surprise, a hint of age on the nose, and so bright and fresh on the palate. Two side by side treats were my favorites, 2001 Chateau Montelena vs. 2000 BV Georges De Latour, and 2005 Patricia Green Ribbon Ridge vs. 2005 Au Bon Climat Los Alamos.
It was a pleasurable evening again. Loved the ABC and really enjoyed the BV vs Montelena. Driving home though, my head kept going back to the Amarone as it was my first taste of one. I wish I had gotten to it earlier in the evening. Don’t need to go deep but I will have to dip a toe to get a better feel. Love getting a window into ares of wine that I just wouldn’t get on my own. Thanx all!
Great to see everyone agan. Jeffrey glad you could make it! Love how it often works out without a theme. Patricia Green was the “nose of the night” and really enjoyable. Fun to try to the older classic Caifornia Cabs. I brought the Montelena and should have double decanted it before the show. Ken opened up the BV several hours earlier and double decanted and I think that made it much more accessible. No duds. I need to do a better job coming up with a more disciplined tasting order. Until next time!
