My stems have slowly disappeared. I need to buy new wine glasses.
What are some of your favorite ‘everyday’ drinking glasses in the $10 - $15 range?

Schott-Zwiesel are my everyday stems. All purpose glasses are $10 in my market. FYI, if you’re boycotting Riedel, they also own Spiegelau.
I’ve been fond of Stolze Lausitz. You can get a six pack of glasses from TJ Maxx for about $15-$18. The make four types (listed below). I usually only buy the “power” as a travel universal glass for when I’m not drinking out of the Zaltos at home.
Revolution power (Universal/red & white)
Revolution classic (white)
Revolution mature (Burgundy/Barolo)
Revolution sparkling
If you can find Rastal, they’re worth a look. More angular than Riedel, but to us more stylish for that.
+1, but I do most of my drinking out of a Zalto Universal.
I’m also a fan of the Schott-Zweisel glasses. Fairly durable – only managed to break one and that was when putting it away.
Gabriel Glas.
Can get them for around $22 from Weygandt if you call or email Tim or Warren.
The machine-made ones perform just as well as Zalto Universal IMHO.

By far my favorite and cheapest everyday wine glasses
Take a look a Nachtmann-Vivendi.
This is what I use as well
I use Schott-Zweisel glasses as my everyday/dinner party glasses. Broke only one in 10 years.
Easy to wash.
Thanks to this board, I bought also a few Zalto (Burgundy, Bordeaux, white) for when I open a nice bottle.

I thought Bachman was also owned by Reidel
I like Schott Zweisel as well. If you are looking foR Champagne glasses, I love the Lehmann glasses (you can get them at KL).
Another vote for Schott Zweisel. Nice glasses, reasonably priced, and durable.
Schott as the pretty-much interchangeable Riedel substitute. Gabriel Glas if you’re looking for something different. It’s similar to the Zalto Universal but I find the sloping profile a little more graceful and classic. And it’s a refreshing change from the “make it even bigger!” fashion that Riedel kicked off.
Did anybody see/try the Iittala wine glasses? I saw them recently in a wine shop. Roughly similar shape to the Zaltos, but much smaller. The glass did not look so thin either. I liked them and would be happy to use them as everyday wine glasses.
Did a quick search and here they are:
I have probably said this 100 times before, but I do not understand the concept of “every day stemware.” If you are just 2 adults in the home, why not at least have 2 of the very best you can buy…that you like…and use them every day? You can easily purchase a Zalto Universal for $60 and have it for a very long time. That $60 wine the 2 of you share is gone that night or the next.
Recent tasting trials of my own Cab barrel samples, using Zalto Universals and “the other one,” showed 2 different wines. 3 of us agreed strongly on this. The Zalto had it all, hands down. Not even close.
I put any and all brands in my Miele diswasher, with hardly ever an accident. Clean, spotless, ready to go the next day.
Merrill, I think this is really good advice.
Nachtmann is owned by Riedel.
I have been using Wine Enthusiast Fusion glassware. They look like Zalto knockoffs, and work extremely well.
