Looking for Berserker input.

I have been working on a Sonoma County guide for wine visits that is stickied in in Wine Talk and I am looking for input from fellow Bererskers so I can fill in some of the categories and mark recommended stops as such.

First off is Hotels, B&Bs, Vacation Rentals where you have enjoyed your stay. Healdsburg to Petaluma to Sonoma. My listings are shy and I don’t want to start recommending places where people may not have had a good stay. Living here I do not have the need for overnight stays and have only done a few places.

Next, I have a vast listing of Wineries and I am looking to have more tagged as Berserker recommended. Which wineries do you enjoy the most for:
Wine
Service: Group and/or one-on-one
Scenery
Overall Experience

What non wine-related activities have left their mark in your memory? What ones would you share with others?

Being able to hone some of the lists down and make them more Berserker driven is what I am striving for. I think the thread will be much more valuable with these additions. Thanks in advance for your participation!

Sounds more like the travel section, especially if you’d like a sticky.

Hey Brian I have a contribution. http://www.vrbo.com/65664 Been years since we stayed at this place but it is worth mentioning. 1 bedroom just outside of Healdsburg proper behind gates on a private lake with good fishing. We were able to use the boat and fishing gear when we stayed there. They also have about 2 acres of pinot that they sell to Papatiero. Very private (except the guest house part) and a great setting/location. Has its own small kitchen and living area.

Have you considered a brewery and brewpub section?

No. What are ya tryin’ to do? [pillow-fight.gif] I’ll start one and folks can chime in with their suggestions. (Remember, Sonoma County only!
RRBC
Lagunitas
Bear Republic
Etc…

Brian,

Looks like the Best Western just off Sonoma Plaza is missing:

Fixed!

Man you work fast Brian. A brewery you can add is Moonlight Brewing Company. They moved from Fulton to Santa Rosa (3350 Coffey Lane, ph. 707-528-2537) late last year and have a taproom set to open anytime now. Sorry I don’t have anymore info but their website is out of date.

Thanks for all you have put into this Brian [drinkers.gif]

Stumptown
Dempseys
Hopmunk (not technically a brewery but a great place to stop)

They are already inserted in the thread Arif. Hopmonk does make their own beers and they are offered on tap.
