Juniper at the Vanderbilt
$35 for 1st bottle. $50 additional bottles.
Not sure why I didnât post these before. Some of these may be listed above:
Rockville Centre
- Aperitif - $20/decent stems - solid bistro fare
- George Martin The Original - $25/ok stems - dependably wide-ranging menu
- Bigelowâs New England Fried Clams - no charge/no stems - can compete with the best in NE.
- Chadwickâs American Chophouse - $25/ok stems somewhat old school but usually enjoyable
Other Locales
- Naples Street Food (Oceanside) - no charge/poor stems. Outstanding pizza etc.
- Ginza (Levittown) - $25 (from memory)/decent stems - Excellent sushi
- Chachama Grill (Patchogue) $25 (from memory)/decent stems - Can be excellent. The prix-fixe is great value
- Ephesus (Massapequa Park) - $2/person/poor stems - Good Turkish food
- Blackbird Kitchen & Cocktail (Massapequa Park) - $25/good stems - delicious and inventive but considerable use of spicy peppers
- EatMosaic (Saint James) - $45/good stems - outstanding & creative tasting menus. Uncommonly excellent wine list
- Iberico (Saint James) - ?/good stems - never been charged and canât say definitvely they allow it. We know the owners of this very good tapas bar.
- Osteria Morini (Garden City) - $25/ good stems/ 1 btl/couple - very good.
- Plancha (Garden City) - $25/ ok stems - very good tapas bar
- Salumi (Massapequa) - $25/ ok stems - very good tapas etc. Same owner as Plancha.
Blue Waters Mediterranean, N. Bellmore. No longer free. Was quoted $25. Full bar, short wine list.
Spoonsticks in Massapequa is $15/bottle. I opened 2. They charged for one. Poor stems.
Very good Korean fare and admirable ramen.
Bryant and Cooper in Roslyn/Manhasset is $40 .
Food is/was great.
I do not know if Cirellas has no corkage Mondays but I do know itâs $25 on any night that isnât free/discounted .
My post was from 6 years ago. A lot could/has changed in those 6 years.
La Pâtite Framboise Port Washington.
$25
Floraâs Wine Bar in Port Washington has $25 corkage if youâre so inclined. However, they have a very nice list focused on small Italian organic producers with many reasonable BTG options and generous pours. Menu is largely focused on pastas, which are excellent.
Insignia Smithtown. $50 per bottle.
Ballsy
Hosting a business dinner there. Probably wonât BYOB .
Farm Italy (Huntington) - $40 per bottle
Hunter, The Restaurant, East Norwich-- $50. Inside is maddeningly noisy on weekends, tolerable on Tues and Wed. But the patio is delightful any warm night. PS-- same menu prices as pre-inflation make the high corkage tolerable for the great cooking and fancy service.
Looking for Indian restaurant that permits BYO. Any suggestions?
I donât recall the specific $$$, but Union in Eisenhower Park and Seasons 52 in Roosevelt Field allow corkage. Corkage fees were approx $25 per bottle. We did not BYOB and did enjoy both .
Union is my choice for after-Thanksgiving Friday. Have never thought to byo there. Will report on fee. Iâm a fan of their service and kitchen.
Please do, this is right in my neck of the woods and I have been interested in trying it out. Even more so if there is a reasonable corkage option with some decent glassware.
Premium prices for elevated experience. Signature lobster sushi roll is an eye opener. Bone in rib steak had real beefy flavor. Not surprised by response from manager who told me there is no limit on number of bottles. Corkage fee is $35 per. And glassware is definitely nice.
Terrific! Thanks for sharing. Definitely going to give it a try.
