Lists: As I waiting patiently for SE, Cayuse, SQN, etc.

As I wait patiently for the next 1-10 year, what lists have you signed up for in the last 90 days? Leave off the standards waiting lists (Rhys, Schrader, SE, SQN, etc.). I prefer bordeaux varieties (blends or single varietal).

Maybe those with no waiting or a short waiting…c’mon you can say, nobody reads this internets thing anyways flirtysmile

I haven’t signed up for any winery direct lists in the last 90 days but I signed up for mailers from retailers such as Envoyer, 56 degrees, etc.

No more lists for me. I am on one from several years ago. I may buy and I may not. I can buy retail all that I want, usually cheaper. If it is cult or exclusive, I do not need it. The 1% need something to spend money on. I know my place. [snort.gif]

no new ones for me; I am trying to eliminate
If you are looking for a list consider Hayfork, Outpost and O’Shaughnessy

I was accepted to Jemrose and Herman Story fairly quickly, both deal in Rhone style primarily and are at good price points (most bottles in the $30-$45 range). Michael Browne was consulting for Jemrose through the 2010 vintage, but now they’ve taken themselves over. You said Bordeaux, not Rhone, but it is all French to me.

Cannot remember the last list I signed up for…maybe No Girls?

As to things you can get on relatively quickly and meet your criteria (no mention of price point):
Hayfork
Drinkward Peschon
Hobel
Larkmead

I’ve been cutting for two years, but have managed to add a few :
Pulido-Walker
Greer
Vine Hill Ranch

I have no idea what wait times are. Greer will be a while because production is miniscule. I don’t know when Pulido-Walker plans on releasing wine, hopefully soon as I’m excited to see what TRB will do with Pritchard Hill fruit.

*EDIT - Looks like Pulido-Walker’s first vintage will be the 2010, with a Panek release in the spring, and Melanson (pritchard hill) in the fall. The labels show < 200 cases produced, no price listed. Thomas’ own Panek is awesome, so now I’m really looking forward to trying this.

I would like to get a shot at Piper’s wine, should he ever get his act together and let us know something. [stirthepothal.gif]

me too!

I’ve joined about ten lists in the last 90 days and expect allocations to start rolling in around five to seven years from now.

Who knows what I will want by then right

.

In mybest Arnold Schwarzenegge voice “Get your ass to Quivet/Myriad (list)”

Buy anything offered that says either Madres, Three, or Kenefick.

And Pride. I really like the new direction post Foley.

Very helpful…although a total time suck researching these and reading about their vineyards, winemakers, etc.

The one thing you have in regards to these waiting lists is time. SO sign up soon and often and when they contact you in 3, 5, 7 or 10 years, you will have had plenty of time to rethink if you want their allocation or not.

So in the last 90 days I have signed up for:

Bedrock (and actually got on the 2nd allocation list)
Calymus
Cayuse
Carlisle
Realm
Rhys
Screaming Eagle (I might even be able to afford this in ten years)
SQN (See above comment)
Saxum
Turley

I think there might be a few more but these seemed like a good place to start everything off.

Added myself to four more last night after going over this thread.

Anthill
Kosta Browne
Maybach
Schrader

Joe, you on Rivers-Marie? the reserves cabs are baby Schrader like, especially the Panek with air.
Half price, easier to get, you get more than one and shipping is miniscule and usually included.

This board is a MAJOR time suck, so that shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. I actually thought I had to find a sponsor to help keep me off the board. The more I’m on, the more wine I buy. It’s like crack, but in a good way.
