ABOUT US/L’ENVOLÉE WINES: We each have day jobs working for top Napa consultants (Caitlin working with Russell Bevan and Quentin working with Julien Fayard). L’Envolée Wines is our personal side project, our chance for full creative freedom in crafting premium Napa wines of our own. L’Envolée has a yearly production of just 2 barrels (~60 cases) of Cabernet Sauvignon, and, since 2023, ~200 cases of Chenin Blanc as well (an extremely rare opportunity in the Napa Valley)! We’re a 2-person show around here: we personally do all of the hands-on work from winework to packing/shipping orders as well as managing e-commerce, marketing, and business operations. ABOUT THE 2023 CHENIN BLANC:
Meet our inaugural white wine made up of 100% Chenin Blanc from the Carneros appellation of the Napa Valley. This dry wine is zippy yet rich, fun yet complex, and immediately approachable. This golden yellow-hued wine showcases pleasant notes of ripe pear, white nectarine, honeysuckle, and lemon zest. 200 cases produced, fermented in 80% stainless steel and 20% neutral French oak, 13% ABV, 100% delicious. Jeb Dunnuck gave the Chenin Blanc 94 points and called it “smoking good” and said that it is “up with the finest expression of the variety in California.” Your fellow Berserker @Jason_L called it “really pristine, dense and textured” and @Mark_Smith_65 called it “exquisite and reasonably priced”.
ABOUT THE 2021 CABERNET SAUVIGNON:
Welcome our Cabernet Sauvignon, a vibrant and elegant wine made up of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from the Oakville appellation of the Napa Valley. It is concentrated, dark ruby red in color. This full-bodied wine will glide along your palate, highlighting flavors of fresh huckleberries, toasted espresso beans, cedarwood, and a hint of tobacco. This is a micro-production; only 60 cases produced! 14.5% ABV. Find more technical information here.
