LB used a new shipping system with weird emails for this marathon and they didn’t show up as received by Fed Ex until the boxes hit their center in Palmetto, FL. My whole marathon order arrives today!

Mine is the same. No tracking until it hit the DC (presumably climate controlled) in Palmetto, FL then coming up to GA.

same, some weird email so I sent it to them and they told me it was being delivered today yesterday but the tracking was idle for 5 days, it was odd
I got delivery last week and 4 Bottles I ordered were missing. They said must have been an error on their end but don’t have any bottles to replace them with. They honestly said Conn Creek would be a good subsitution. Before I get a charge back, does anyone know if they have any inventory of anything worth buying?
What was the wine and price? Which Conn Creek?
The wines I didn’t get were Rose & Arrow Black Walnut Worden Hill Dundee Hills 2018 which was about $40. The other was Cornerstone Cellars Cab Rutherford 2018 for $35 which I was excited about because it was sourced with Beckstoffer fruit. Recent CT review on it likely from the sale pretty negative however.

They stiffed me on some Rose & Arrow from the prior marathon as well. I had them refund my card.
I’d take the Conn Creek and Peake Ranch if you’re looking to substitute those two wines, but don’t hesitate to ask for a refund! They also have Peake Ranch Syrah left, which was a smokin deal!
First Bottle has more Kapcsandy up. This time the 2015 Merlot. They must have purchased their entire library with the volume of wine they are pushing.

yeah looks like I paid $107.67 per bottle with all the insurance and taxes.

Today on Last Bottle I bought 6 bottles of Alessandro Rivetto Barbaresco at $22 bottle. Anyone familiar with this producer?
Sipping on 2020 Mount Eden PN now. I do not detect any smoke taint. Rich and very good.

I brought it to my blind tasting group last night, no one detected smoke taint. I’ll post notes later. There’s plenty of oak and savory notes. I thought there was some yesterday, but I think I was jaded by the oak because day 2 the oak has integrated and I don’t get any smoke taint either.

Yes. Highly variable producer. Have bought (from LB):
2020 Langhe Neb - first few were great then they seemed to age prematurely and show a lot of VA
2019 Langhe Neb - kind of meh
2016 Barolo Sertalunga - lots of bottle variation but some good. Recent bottle had a nice initial nose but hollow middle. High VA.
Overall for $22 Barbaresco I doubt it will be terrible and coukd be quite nice.
I had a Barbaresco from them that was virtually tasteless. Don’t recall the year, but it was relatively recent.
