More like sour hour so far
La Tâche
Never seen that in a Marathon before.
Screagle, Petrus, and La Tache pop up for a few seconds basically every power hour.
Bummed I missed the shafer 1.5 mags. Hope they offer the 750s again
Screagle swoops down again.
What is up with their shipping ? Has anyone had success speeding this along ? I got my held shipments around the expected time for first bottle but for last bottle it appears they haven’t even started the process yet ?
Many posts in the thread.
It’s more like a scattergram right now. Did you email them? Some people get responses, most don’t. Your wine will ship at some point. Likely soon.
They are allegedly installing new software to replace the 20 year old system they are currently using. Good luck
They plan to fulfill all today’s marathon orders is 6 weeks starting in January
LastBottle is a fascinating tour through the world of “(supposedly) expensive and highly-rated California cabs that most of us have never heard of and from single vineyards most of us have never heard of.”
Seiber Family Millennium Vineyard Napa Valley Reserve Cuvee. Retail $120 Best Web $90 Last Bottle $49! Decanter 97 points. Who’s in???
I’ll wait for it to show up at Grocery Outlet
I’d be honored to defend your cellar.
current mystery according to ChatGPT
That one is Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars — ARTEMIS (Napa Valley) — 2022. The tasting/fact sheet for ARTEMIS matches the exact blend (98% Cabernet, 1.5% Cab Franc, 0.5% Petit Verdot), vineyard breakdown (≈73% Atlas Peak, 12% Arcadia), harvest dates (Sept 10–Oct 12, 2022) and 14.8% ABV.
Kind of boring now let’s hope this 5 pm hour is interesting
For those that have been through numerous marathons, does anything new and decent get listed during “skeleton crew”? The last marathon seemed to mostly consist of re-listed bottles available earlier in the day.
Is it just me or today’s marathon really aint interested at all?
They’re mostly retreads from earlier in the day. I’ve rarely found late night wines worth buying.
Yeah generally it’s some cellar defender I enjoyed but missed earlier.
Got a 2016 Kapscandy Grand Vin and a few Elivette odds and ends. Not a bad day but now I have to figure out where to put them. Oh well, I guess I need to drink some wine to make room in the cellar.
You are not wrong. Retread after retread.
It was good if you like discounted Oregon Pinot but that’s about it.
Was waiting at least for some nice cabs to pick up but the choices were between Screagle and Conn Creek…
Dang, I love discounted Oregon Pinot and I was busy at work all day. Hopefully some of those repeat tomorrow.
Wait all day refreshing for something good and a 2013 Leonetti pops up and…. It’s gone.
One of those days I guess.
