LastBottleWines.com (Last Bottle Wines) Deal Discussion Thread (Part 1)

They haven’t been trending in a great direction but there are still some good reasons to check in every so often, like the Lutum Pinots.

Can’t really justify constant browser refreshes tho.

My biggest concern is shipping. The coldest part of the winter is upon us.

It probably won’t ship for 2 - 3 months.

Email says in case you didn’t read it.

“ Finally - All orders placed during this marathon will be combined. We will require several weeks to stage and coordinate all the shipping (begins January 4th).”

you can download a firefox extension that auto-refreshes the page. I just turn it on while working and glance over every so often. When you click on an item to buy, the auto-refresh goes off to let you complete the order. Then back to the main page and it starts up again. Marathons were fun again when I learned of this trick.

This is the thread with marathon discussions.

Doesn’t that disclaimer show up on all of them?

My 2 go around with LBW Marathon were

  • April Marathon Received Early June 5th
  • August Marathon Received Early December 7th

I expect that I will get any bottles I order in April

Yeah, the last couple of marathons were very much ehh. The marathon this time last year was Pretty good. Hopefully the year end ones are where it’s at.

It’s less the actual refreshing than the constant monitoring.

They do always have a few great buys that keep circulating tho

Cadence Ciel du Cheval Red Red Mountain 2016 is the same price I’ve picked it up else where–but it is good juice.

power hour at 1 PM pacific time

Washington has become a sweet spot for these marathons. The last one had excellent pricing on a few Betz and Andrew Will bottlings, too.

Hope it is better than the last marathon power hour that consisted of bounty hunter branded bottles.

Taylor Fladgate 2017 Vintage port up now. Didn’t buy because I probably won’t live into the drinking window.

Edit: I changed my mind, and bought one. Maybe I’ll get lucky and live into my 90s.

I grabbed the Taylor, pretty decent price and 375s so will age faster.

I picked up a couple 2016 Slight of Hand Cabs, seemed like a good price at $29

Agreed, got some as well. Other than that picked up 3 dif chardonnays so far.

newhere Anyone know anything about “Dropout Pinot Noir Bennett Valley 2018” - I can’t find anything online. As someone new to wine and the marathons, I pulled the trigger because why not.

Started monitoring the marathon a bit late bc of work. So far only bought 1 Albarino.
