I donāt even have my Spring Marathon orders yet, let alone the last Marathon. They claim everything is going out in October at the latest but I have 9 orders still sitting on āholdā. I have faith but the communication has been sparse.
Oh, there have been emails. Again Iām not overly concernedā¦been doing business with them for a long time. I just think they got stacked up and taking some time to release to the Midwest now that the weather broke.
School House Pinot Noir Napa Valley 2014 for $35 seems pretty appealing as Last Bottle deals go. A reminder that thereās a lot of wine looking for a home to close out 2020, and itās going to get really crazy if restaurants are forced to shut down again.
I picked up a case. Solid stuff⦠though they confuse oxidative notes with yeasty notes. Iāve already gone through 4 bottles and Iāve had them for about 2 weeks.
Itās consistently good. Usually an auto-buy for me (largely because I expect one day to do a vertical tasting, but probably never will). Seems very hard to justify with all the WA/DN you mention, but my guess is it will be better than most of them. With that said, I juts donāt see myself paying $59 for a mystery label wine this year.
I ended up with one of those as a Garagiste Mystery. Around $60ish, I think.
There is a lot of good wine selling at a steep discount from retail these days.
Well that went fast. Glad I jumped on it! Though, looks like they still have them in stock on the west coast and still offer free shipping as long as you are okay with waiting.
