I’ve been reviewing the wines offered by looking in Vinelog. One wine that may be under appreciated is Et Fille Pinot Noir. Actually, there have been several. They make straight ahead, middle of the spectrum, downright delicious Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
The de Negoce wines sure have tamped my interest in any big red from any of the usual bargain sites.
Same here for sure… I think I bought like 5 cases of wine in my first and second marathons. This one and the last one I’ve been super picky. Think I only bought like 4 bottles in the last one due to the quarantine offers.
Well this makes me feel a little bit better - I think I went a bit overboard yesterday but in my defense, this was my first one! I did cancel one order and reduce another few from 3 to 1 bottle each. At this point, though, I’m just hoping they come back with the Mulderbosch Sauvignon Blanc so I can grab an entire case this time.
Cool. Thanks for your response. I was curious because AW usually offers the remaining older vintages to their mailing list and club members at a nice discount. I don’t recall seeing the 2013 Champoux on LB, but I purchased a case from AW a year or two ago for about $45 per bottle shipped. I did purchase some of the 2014 Champoux from LB earlier this year at $48 per bottle.
An older vintage of the Esploso had been offered on AW at a discounted rate earlier in the year, but I can’t recall the vintage or price.
Went for one of the magnums of the 2013 Terre Nere Brunello for $109. Good CT scores albeit a pretty small sample size! 3 reviews, 94.5 score, 1 tasting note.
Overall pretty disappointed. It seemed like there was a huge lack of variety (What even was that “power hour” yesterday?), and some really whacky “deals”. I ended up buying 4 bottles, but I’m only really excited about the '09 Chateau La Tour Blanche for $21. My purchases were:
Dutton Goldfield Riesling Chileno Valley of Petaluma Gap 2017 $15.23
Chateau La Tour Blanche Sauternes 2009 (375mL) $21.75
