Larue Pinot anyone?

Anyone on this forum familiar with Larue pinots? I hear their Sonoma Coast, Thorn Ridge, and Rice Spivak are very good. They seem to have been on quite a run lately, and their winemaker Katy Wilson (formerly with Cobb, and Flowers) is very highly regarded.

Any comments, experiences, or tasting notes would be appreciated.

Yes, perfumed, elegant, true coast typicity wines. Count me as a fan. I would say Falls between Hirsch and DuMol in style.

I am quite familiar and they are spectacular. We had a 2011 Larue Rice Spivak(forgive my spelling) for christmas dinner that was in top 10 pinot experiences of my life
She also makes exceptional Chardonnay

I had the 2015 Rice-Spivak last night and I must say the entire experience was underwhelming and disappointing, it’s possible that it’s just a little bit late in the game, and that the wine had faded a bit, but there still seemed to be a good presence of fruit and a gorgeous nose, but the mouth feel and the body of the wine was way too tart and sour for my palate. Though I let it breathe for a couple of hours the tartness never went away and really got in the way of enjoying the wine.

Off bottle?

I sure hope so. Have nearly a case, all based on recommendations.
