Landmass

2019 Landmass blanc de noirs, vintage sparkling wine, Eola-Amity Hills ava, Oregon
100% pinot noir, methode champenoise, 12% abv, 6 g/L, dg 5/18/23
I’ll admit that when I want impressive bubbles it’s Champagne and that I rarely open a sparkling wine with much expectation. So it was opening this as a Thursday night wine and my oh my was I pleasantly surprised, a borderline holy crap. It’s the beaucoup pinot character and great fragrance that makes this wine. While the dosage is noticeable it really adds nice body and intensity and it comes off as nicely dry enough with a long finish. More than held its own alongside grilled salmon with paprika.

This operation is worth checking out. This isn’t available currently on their website unfortunately. I got this in the low $50s from Full Pull and it was definitely worth it. I almost didn’t send this thinking about it potentially hurting next year’s allocation chances but what the heck, wine is about sharing.
