Todd, do you know Bhersman first name?

I can type our first name on the label.

I don’t! How’d @Bhershman get away with it?

Lol it was on here at one point, not sure I fully know how to use the new system but it’s Ben

Looks like you fixed it!

So it’s too late to change my name, you are saying?

Everybody ready to splash decant their wines starting around 8 am tomorrow (assuming we eat around 8pm, for those of us assigned to a 12-hour decant/rebottling)?

Graeme and I are excited to see everyone tomorrow. If anyone has any questions or issues with the decanting instructions please let me know and I’ll be happy to help. My email is alex@macdonaldvineyards.com if you need to reach out directly. This will be a special night and we appreciate everyone’s willingness to contribute a bottle to dinner.

Another STRONG suggestion to bring your own stems :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The restaurant has stems, but when drinking a huge vertical of $500-700 wines, one might want to bring stems you know are legit and suitable for these wines. I’ll be bringing 3 stems in my stemware case, as I believe we’ll be doing flights of three vintages each, plus, I don’t think we’ll have room for more than 3 stems per placesetting

I am bringing two bottles of 2008 Lilbert which I got directly from Domaine since 2014. And I will also bring a bottle of 1994 Mondavi Reserve. Will let group to decide what to open. Thanks.

Precisely at 8am I opened my assigned bottle, splash-decanted, rinsed the bottle with purified water, poured the wine back into the bottle with a funnel made from the fibers of Beckstoffer clippings (maybe not that last part, maybe just a plastic funnel), corked it up, and I’m good to go.

This East Coast Berserker in incredibly envious of all of you attendees. Having been fortunate enough to have tasted every MacDonald vintage since 2012 or so (and yes, a few epic earlier vintages with Alex and the rest of the Wine Warriors), I know you are all in for a truly amazing evening. Enjoy!!

And lastly, AMac, who is putting together the NY/NJ MacDonald dinner???

Hey team, looking forward to tonight. Is there a name the reservation is under? I’m sure I can find the “room for the group of 20 wine geeks”, but still.

It should be under my name but it could be under Taylor

Great time tonight guys. Thanks for coming. This was a truly spectacular event.

Todd will send everyone a Venmo request for the minuscule balance that each of us owe!
