Killing Some Aussie Wagyu and Supporting Napa Cabs In Nashville

Last night we were fortunate enough to have a mid-week get together to celebrate my impending doom of being RIF’ed. Wagyu Tri-tip from Australia was on the menu along with a couple very nice charcuterie and cheese platters. Wines were above par for a Tuesday night. Only the 2006 Ovid was not to my liking.

I will let Adam fill in some tasting notes.

Snacks:

Tex- awesome awesome awesome…

+1 will tri-tip & cab this weekend!

Wow, what was the venue?? That is a killer looking platter of beef…

Oh, and the wines look decent too

Holy Hell Bill, that looks like an enjoyable evening.

Sorry about the RIF, beat of luck.
What a fantastic lineup!

A board member’s house in Franklin, TN. We had twenty or so people.

That was only one of two platters of critter. I have to give props to Marx Foods for the quality and excellent price to the door. Fifteen dollars a pound all in.

Thanks for the grilling skills and the wine pics, Bill! It was great fun!

Tex, could you let Adam know he’s taking way too long with the notes? Thx.

Very jealous of the line up.
I loved the Fantesca Chard when I had it at the winery last week. Same with the Pinot.

Haha. I imagine he is actually working today. I imagine they will be up after EOB today.

The meat was amazing…came back for more after dessert. As for the wine/notes, I am trying to work today…fought off some major grogginess this morning, and fortunately (or mercifully) a happy hour I was supposed to attend this evening just got canceled. I jotted down 21 wines…I think I got everything…will get some thoughts down later tonight after the kiddos go to sleep.

Cool.

So glad to have been a part of this. Thanks again to JJ, Bill and Adam for making this happen.

+1
Thank you George and JJ for the amazing hospitality and the 04 Yquem to top off a great wine lineup.
Thanks to Bill for your skills at the grill.
And, as always, thank you Adam for organizing everything.
Terrific Tuesday evening!
Tim

Good luck with your Reconnaissance-in-Force. Keep your head down.

Yes, what Chris wrote.

Very curious as to how the Andrew Will held up against those bruisers.

Nicely done boys.

A good reason for me to stay up late!..I think I have one bottle of 2007 Rudius left in my cellar, and was wondering if I should drink that sucker. Looking forward to your notes Adam…
