Killer Loire/Chinon (1977-2010) Night w/Tooch, Corey N., and Marc F. [and a '65 Mouton for kicks]

Tooch, I can not wait to disappoint you further come June!! This time with reinforcements …The restaurant K waiter ‘Have all your holes barred’ ROCKY !

I am sure Corey is flying to…great notes son!

*too

Matt,

You’ve always come across as fairly classy when I’ve read your posts.

What happened? And is your wife disappointed that you’re hanging out with people like Corey?

Those be fighting words Potato Boy.

I will try that again

I think Corey is flying in two.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Grammer never did like a kid with adhd

As Mark Twain said, “Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.”

Secondarily, it looks like I’m going on a family vacation to Idaho this summer. Might you be interested in a small Truchot dinner?

Nicely done, Matt, very elegant notes. I so much wish that I had circled back to the Laville Haut Brion and the Becker. Amazing wines to pop, for me not to really try. I can easily source the Becker and will do so on your notes, the Laville . . . well . . . Ouch the price. Looks like most of us had the same opinions on the top wines of the evening.

I forgot about the rain, that was around midnight.

Glad you and Summer made the effort to spend time with us, we really enjoyed the company. Your generosity with wine is amazing.

I never did get to taste the Don Px or the Rieussec…I was too numb by then. I looked up ‘too’ making sure I was using it in the right context

I’m honestly not sure what this thread is about, but I’m quite sure none of you guys are going to hold a public office at any point in time.

actually Craig, I’d like to think that this actually makes us electable. [cheers.gif]

And I’m holding on to the good pics!

This thread could be about, “friends should not let friends drink wine”. A lesson to us all. Now my political aspirations to run as a socialist-liberal-ivory tower democrat with 94.5% Latino support have been shattered.

by Robert Alfert, Jr. ---- I like you. great notes

ALERT! Passing the bromance torch, when ya flyin’ in Heath?

So… you don’t like Corey and you want to drink Truchot in Idaho this summer?

I’m in. [cheers.gif]

Corey might be flying in

Let’s save that info for about 4 hours before meet-up.

FMIII is coming in March/April. I smell syrah night. Hopefully he has not read this thread and bailed out.

I’m not sure my wallet or liver could afford another one anyway . . .

Hahaha…I’m too busy trying to get this guys book going here in Houston at the moment , but in the future!

Looks like a heck of a dinner, Robert, with some stellar Loire selections. Many thanks for the excellent notes! As Gregg mentioned, neat to see the Thunder Mountain in the mix. To be honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the wines back in the day, but Milan was a frequent participant on Garr’s WLDG and I enjoyed his input and insight and got to meet him a few times at trade tastings in the city. He’s very much missed.
