I had them as samples a year ago and you could throw a dart blind at the list and find one good one after another. The dessert is excellent and there is very little of it. Are the table wines still around $50? Kind of a no-brainer. I prefer the balanced but ripe style of her wines over some of the ultra-ripe central valley versions that get a lot of play.
I believe the Grenache is the Red Slope and the Syrah is the Kingpin Rows. And, yes, they are both very good. I opened a '07 Red Slope a few nights ago. It was very good but never really came around and showed all it 's stuff even after a few hours. Perhaps they need more time.
