VINDEPENDENCE BERSERKERS 2025

My family has been growing grapes since 1989 on our windy Petaluma property, we started Keller Estate in 2000 with the intention of making beautiful wines that expressed our terroir and each year. It’s amazing, this will be our 25th anniversary, and it’s been one hell of a ride! :exploding_head:

In 2017 together with our neighbors, we spearheaded the creation of the Petaluma Gap AVA, making it the first AVA solely defined by wind conditions (ask me more and I can go hours on the power of wind). This year, we celebrate 10 years of sustainable certification, but beyond that, I am giddy with excitement to say, we’re receiving our organic certification within the next few weeks.

Born to a large Mexican Family :mexico:, our passion is making wines that are food friendly. At the end of the day, don’t you want to sit around a table, enjoy good food, good company and let wine do the magic? :wine_glass:

On the winemaking side: as many of you know my focus is on growing beautiful site specific grapes on our windy site, when it comes to winemaking I aim to make wines with native fermentations, showcasing the spiciness of La Cruz Vineyard, and the dark forest of El Coro. I’d be honored if you tried our wines.

New Offering: Vertical of Rotie $140.
I’ve always said that Syrah is the dark horse of the Petaluma Gap, the cool windy region is perfect fro growing this relatively drought tolerant variety. The wind and mineral allows for complex, dark pepper, fruit, and a great mid palate, with the Viognier providing a long acid mid palate.

2019 Rotie Precise and multilayered, with expressive garrigue, black peppers, and olive tapenade, dark plum and licorice flavors that take structure toward broad tannins. Best after 2024. 93 JD

2020 Rotie Savory spice flavors framed by defined taninins. Best after 2024. Time to open this one. 92 JD

2021 Rotie: Captivating notes of Raspberry oculi’s, violets and black peppers. The palate brings flavors of rich cherry liqueur, potpourri and cracked peppercorn in a frame of plush tannin, with plenty of acid for balance. 95 WE

2022 Rotie : Spicy and mineral with a layer of dark fruit balancing the savory herbal edge, this shows dark cherries, apricots, cured meats and celar. The medium-to-full bodied palate has fine tanins and bright acidity. 95 WE

Order in - I’ve loved each bottle I’ve had from Keller. Thanks!

Ordered the Hit The Spot! Looking forward to them! I hadn’t had Keller Estate wines before the last BD, but was glad I ordered some.

Thank you Blake! We’ll keep the good wines coming.

Looking forward to seeing you enjoy our wines! Let me know what your favorite it.

Hi @anakeller I am up in Napa next week and would love to come by your winery.
Could I pick up some wines if I order them today, are you around on Tuesday? I’d love to try your Pinot and Chardonnay.

Absolutely! I’d love to meet you and catch up. Let me know if you have any questions.

Nice offerings! I presume not, but out of curiosity: no relation to Weingut Keller?

No relationship to them, I wish.

If you haven’t tried our wines, thank you for trying them out, and please let me know on the chat, if you want to pick them up at our Petaluma tasting room, or if you want us to hold them for any reason before shipping.

In for a Hit the spot. I absolutely love Keller’s La Cruz vineyard chard and looking forward to trying the Ora de Plata. How do the two sites/wines differ?

Ana, please hold for cooler weather.

The sites are relatively similar, the difference are the clones and the winemaking. La Cruz Chardonnay is a blend of clone4, Wente and clones 17, with native, barrel fermentation and full ML. Oro de Plata is exclusively Wente clones, fermented in stainless steel, sur lie aging and stirring (for texture) and no ML. Let me know if you have more questions, and we will reach out so that we can ship when appropriate. Thank you so much for the order!

Thanks Ana. May have to do a side by side. I’m sure I’ll love them both
