My wife and I enjoyed a terrific omakase meal at Kado No Mise this weekend. I have rarely posted to the food forum but wanted to because I did not find mention of this restaurant via search, because I was impressed by the meal, and because they have a wonderful corkage policy.
. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a meal that is difficult to recreate ar home. The service was attentive (and very team based; we had at least 6 people stopping to help our table at some point). I think that’s what happens when service charges work well. Everybody did their job but nobody felt obligated to hover.
Corkage is listed at $25 but we were not charged. We brought a bottle of grand siecle 26 that an ITB set us up with. My first time with that wine and it did not disappoint.
I failed to take a photo of the tuna course, which included three pieces of ahi and one skipjack. For the white fish course, all three looked similar but were different: parrot fish, some kind of rock fish, and sea bream.
