excellent chicken done simply–stuffed w a lemon, spiced w garlic powder, paprika, pepper, salt, ground sage and basted w butter and duck fat, cooked w sliced onion and a variety of small potatoes. Both the bird and hen were flavorful, tender, even delicious. Better than Mary’s chickens and other organic free range birds. Don’t think the g. hen is much different from the chicken. I will order again.
Sounds great, Alan! If you like paprika in your mix, you might consider two other options, piment d’espelette and shichimi. I found both in my travels and love them on chicken. The piment is very versatile as it has a nice pepper flavor and not too much heat.
