Anyone try either?
I was tempted by both but wound up with the Balvenie, intrigued by the rum cask aging. Johnny Black is just OK and the Gold is incredible. Blue is fine but WAY too expensive. How’s the green?

I drink Gold but love to drink some other ones Blue.
I like the Caribbean Cask
Me too - love the vanilla/toffee/cinnamon oatmeal thing going on.
The Caribbean Cask is nice, and has had some great reviews too. The JW Green is all from malt whisky, I believe
Green in my opinion the best deal of the Johnny walker line up. Quite assertive and peaty but in a good way. If the price is in the 40 to 45 snap it up.
Ugh - $60 here.
Anyone try the Johnny Double Black? I like the regular Black when it’s on sale.
Grabbed a bottle of the caribbean the other day at my local total wine for $52. Killer nose, great mouthfeel with a touch of woody/vanilla sweetness.
love it
I really like the Caribbean cask. I love aged rum and I love scotch so I thought this would be a great combo and it is. The casks provide just a hint of flavor, it is extremely well balanced and worth the $50-$60.
