Only one wine with each course and 2023? Sounds more like what you would see in a free tasting than a dinner.
There is the 2011 GH Auslese Gold capsule with the dessert which will hint at the ageing potential (although the 2023 is white capsule by implication so not a fair comparison aside from vintage characteristics ). Assuming this is a basically a sales event I’d have thought one or two mature wines would help the sales pitch. The beef paring is interesting too.
In my NY tenure, I’d expect much more probably. In CLT, I’m just happy there’s some events like this. They are not frequent. I have shit decades old I could tug out from them if I wanted to show up the pairing(s). It’s not a tasting of the rare. It’s an event with the producer, where are they going as I read it, and I’ll be happy with that. Menu looks good, hopefully good company.
