JB Neufeld - Up To 45% Off Old Goat!

Thank you SO much for visiting our BD17 thread! We are thrilled to be participating again this year. It has been really wonderful for us to meet all the wine berserkers over the years and we are incredibly grateful for all of your continued support of our livelihood!!

For those of you have never heard of us, we are JB Neufeld, a true husband and wife team comprised of Justin and Brooke Neufeld. We focus on showcasing the diversity of terroir found in the Yakima Valley thru the lens of Cabernet Sauvignon.

In our opinion, the Yakima Valley AVA has the most diverse terroir of all the AVAs in Washington. The majority of the vineyards are located on south facing slopes created by a series of ridges that are oriented West to East, which is a geological anomaly unique to eastern Washington. These south facing slopes allow the sites to ā€˜catch’ more heat and they also elevate the vineyards so that they can avoid spring/fall frost. The soil profiles and wind patterns also vary throughout the valley. All of these aspects contribute to that diversity of terroir, which ultimately leads to a more balanced and complex wine.

We aim to build a Cabernet Sauvignon that possesses multiple layers of complexity that reveal themselves as the wine opens up in the glass. JB Neufeld achieves this by having an honest winemaking style that is dedicated, thoughtful and precise to the terroir of our valley.

The three wines we’re featuring this year are our Old Goat, Two Blondes Cabernet Sauvignon & Ciel du Cheval Cabernet Sauvignon from the Yakima Valley.

Old Goat
The Old Goat is our pride and joy. It is our attempt to blend the best wine we can with what the vintage gave us. Each vintage is unique. It rests for 19-20 months in 60%-80% new French oak and is then blended and transferred to concrete, where it ages another 11 or so months. The bottled wine is then aged for an additional 15 months before release. Decanter - 93pts

Ciel du Cheval Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2022 Ciel du Cheval is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is classic Red Mountain terroir. This is a full bodied and robust expression of the varietal. It was aged on 55% new French oak for 19 months. Decanter - 93pts

Two Blondes Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2023 Two Blondes is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s a wonderful expression of upper Yakima Valley fruit. Lighter bodied than Red Mountain, but aromatically much more complex. It was aged on 50% new French oak for 19 months. Decanter - 93pts

As always, thank you so much for checking out our offer! If you have ANY questions about our wines please don’t hesitate to ask as we will be answering them on this thread throughout the day. States we cannot ship to are listed at the bottom.

Sorry Tom! Not this year

Order in! Looking forward to trying!

Thanks Ron! Its good to see you on here. Hope you’re doing well!

Is offer #2 correct? It says 6 bottles online but the description is 2 bottles of '20 and '21. So not sure if it is 3 bottles or also includes another vintage. I bought some from you in Dec and still have not tried them but going to get more here!

Good Catch! Its 3 bottles of each for a total of 6. I’ll change that. Thank you!

Great! I’m excited to finally bottle Cab Franc under our label. I’m really happy with that wine. Really approachable right now. Its a riper version, but not so ripe that it just smells like baked fruit. Its got some fun nuances. It just needs a bit more time for the oak to integrate. Cheers Bill!

Hi Brooke and @Justin_Neufeld I’m IN on Offer # 6 today, Times 4! Another case to fill up my JB pipeline with newest Cabs. Cheers and have fun next couple of days!
