Jarvis Winery?

Since the Alpha Omega thing didn’t work out, I’m looking for an alternative. Anyone been to Jarvis? How close to the city of Napa is it? Was it an enjoyable experience? Thanks.

Jarvis is a cool place to visit and taste. wines are solid. short drive from Napa proper. appointment only - ask for Curtis and he’ll get you all set up.

full disclosure: Curt and i are friends outside the wine industry

Much thanks, Paul.

Happy to report on a 1997 from an imperial that I tried a couple weeks ago which was quite excellent.

Why didn’t AO work out?? You won’t find a better all around experience in Napa. Even if Jean is not around, let him set it up with one of his amazing staff.

Jarvis is a neat experience which we enjoyed very much. That said, it is a much different experience than Alpha Omega. Jarvis is more expensive with less wines tasted.

I made 3 attempts to contact Jean directly but never got past the concierge, who offered a so called private tasting: 4 wines for $55.
