Jamie has his permit approval by Sonoma County to build his winery. I’ve been watching Jamie since his early days at Kosta Browne, even the story there when he sent his engagement ring down the sorter conveyor for his wife to discover. And the visits to his living room to taste new releases and barrel samples over the years. The visits to the crush place in Sonoma where we’d do samples out of vials and scrawl out pages of notes. To the dinners when he has taken the time to come down and taste with us, even as recently as last month. I’ve been with him all of these years and knew he had a dream to do his own thing, and do it right. He bought the estate in Sebastopol, planted it right and going organic with it. All of it.
For all the other great wines you have opened and enjoyed over the years, why not try a bottle of Jamie’s stuff? Heck, go visit Jamie and try the lineup. The 23s are terrific.
