Weber. Not the worlds best grill, but clearly the best value and last for a long time.
Absolutely zero wrong with a Weber Summit. Very well build quality and durability.
I agree. Have had one for 10 years and love it (although it’s on it’s last legs). I’m just wanting to upgrade, something made in the USA, 304 guage etc etc.
Type 304 is very basic stainless steel. That’s an upgrade from what?
In the world of grills it’s not so basic (unfortunately, although not sure need more for this purpose).
I believe Lynx redesigned their troublesome ignition system a couple of years ago and resolved that issue.
The problem I found with the Webber Summit is that, unlike every other built-in, theirs comes on a cart so the cut out has to be the full height of the counter, and the counter top height needs to be set to match the height of the Webber. So if you go with a Webber changing to another brand in the future might entail a counter rebuild.
I have had a Wolf 42" grill for a few years and really love it. The ignition system is easy to use, the grilling surface is quite large and I like the “searing” section.

I am doing a backyard remodel starting next month, and am looking for a natural gas grill, probably a built in, but could be on a cart. I used to have a 36” Lynx propane grill, had some issues even though built like a tank. But I stopped using and went to a Weber kettle mostly, and ended up giving the Lynx to my neighbor. Still in use, and I don’t think he’s going to give it back!
Probably looking for a mid-priced option, as I’m not sure how much i will use it. That, and the remodel is already costing me a small fortune. TIA
We have the Weber Genesis S435 and it works great. Highly recommended.

Fire Magic Echelon 36” built in with natural gas has been very good to me.

Didn’t need a monster grill so bought a Weber spirit 425 from Ace Hardware as they assemble and deliver at no extra charge when you join their club. I’ve had a lot of mid level grills and Weber remains at the top of the heap in terms of reliability, IMO. Very helpful CS as well.

Does anyone have any experience with a Blaze grill?
Chuck I know you’re looking at a higher end product and I’m not much help with that.
Jay I just replaced a 12 year old Summit with a Genesis 325, the indigo model unique to Ace, and couldn’t be happier. It very quickly pegs the 750 degree thermometer and has a new setup with some sort of reflector panels and redesigned burner tubes, seems to eliminate flareup. Less heavy duty than the Summit though.
