Calling all Hoosier Berserkers: I will be hosting a casual tasting at my home on February 5th, and I would love to have some more Berserkers attend.
Date: Wednesday, February 5, 2025
Time: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Location: My home in Fishers, IN
For the theme, we’re going to cast a wide net and go with “interesting Nebbiolo”. (You can decide for yourself what “interesting” means to you.) Guests should bring one bottle per person of a Nebbiolo to share with the group. I suspect that most will bring Barolo, Barbaresco, or something from Langhe, but if you have something from Alto Piemonte or another part of the world, that’s great too.
Spouses and partners are welcome if they enjoy wine (even if not quite at Berserker levels). I should have enough glassware for everyone.
The menu is still TBD, but food will be served. This won’t be a sit-down affair. Expect things that are easy to eat while standing and chatting.
I would like to keep this at around 10 people. Right now five or six of the spots are taken (including me, @Franklin_R and @Patrick_Taylor). So we have about four or five spots available.

Hi, I am new to the Indianapolis area and looking to connect with other people who enjoy wine. I see your post from a few years ago about the Indy Wine meet up group and I have had the same experience with them, met some nice people but they are not very focused on learning about or exploring wine.
Have you found any other groups in the area?
Hi Carol. Welcome to Indy! We took the summer off, but I’m hoping to get another offline scheduled for this fall. I’ll let you know if it materializes.

Sorry. “Offline” is lingo that I think is specific to WineBerserkers. We all interact online through this website every day. An “offline” is when we get together “in real life” to enjoy wine and each other’s company.
