I just received this Advent Calendar from a family member. In Good Taste wines is in Graton CA. Has anyone ever tasted/experienced the selections from them before? The wines are from CA, Australia, Chile, Argentina, and France (surprised no Italy). I will be finding out how the wines taste when I start popping them open on November 30.
I searched for any prior notes from board members but the only Advent calendar that was mentioned was from Aldi’s.
Just what I thought. Totally novelty wine. Only took sips of the wines through the first 6 days of Advent.
I’d never seen one of these until my sister’s daughter showed up with one for me over thanksgiving as a gift. Instead of explaining to her how insufferable a wine snob geek I am, I was genuinely like wow, instead of one a day, let’s get together once a week in December and drink six of these at a time with your mom and sister, and we can snack on interesting cheeses and talk about the wines and regions and have some family fun time getting together. Had a good time with them for the first set a couple of days ago, good bonding time.
Was a secret bottle a co-conspirator?
LOL with 25-30 folks here every Thanksgiving since my wife’s folks passed we have like zero time or energy to give something especially old and good its due, secret or otherwise.
That’s my thought, neither the time nor place.
