Ideas needed for old Weber Silver C

So, I was treated to a new birthday gift by the mrs today. Tomorrow I get my new Weber S-330.

I am very excited. Sear station, lots of room and this one is all stainless steel! Flavor bars & grills, interior. Awesome!
Now I am curious to know if there are any creative ideas for my old Weber? Maybe a wood burning pizza oven? Smoker? Not sure what to do. I have access to welding/cutting materials so the sky is the limit.

Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine converted his grill to a pizza oven with bricks and all for super intense heat (not Weber, a Costco grill) and worked great. But it eventually messed up his burners.

Good choice of a new BBQ. I have loved mine for the last four years. The new design makes me want it but my old one works great.

I have been cooking on Webers for about twenty years now. Best bang for the buck. In addition to my gasser, I also own a Weber smoker and Weber one touch kettle coal grill. I use and love them all. I have handed down my old units to my older sons and have purchased other used ones and fixed them up and have given them to my younger sons who are in college. I can not think of another use for an old Weber grill other than its intended purpose so with that said, I would suggest passing it down to someone that you know will enjoy it and maybe who could not afford a Weber. It will last forever and supply many more years of enjoyment to someone.

I like the brisk idea. How did they attach to the hood?

I assume you mean “brick” vs “brisk”. He took off his hood and stacked the bricks with a tiny opening for the pizza. Super intense heat, thin crispy crusts in minutes. I don’t think BBQ grills are made for that type of application, really did a number on the burners.

Thanks. I will be removing the burners and not using it for gas hookup any longer. Cheers!
