  • 2000 Domaine Leroy Nuits St. Georges Aux Lavières - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges (12/31/2014)
    Priced like and drinks like a very good Grand Cru. The nose is a study in stems. Lifted, smoky, with notes of rose petals and other plant matter. The fruit is sweet and red. The palate is spun from vinous silk and has intensity yet is airy. It has some ethereal savoury perfumes that are hard to put into words and length is sneaky and persistent. Burghound gave it 86-89 points. Points can be so pointless.
