No coincidentally, had a delicious 22 Meursault Virieuls from PVG last week. Really top shelf.
This is Pierre Vincent who was Regisseur at Domaine Leflaive and prior to that at Domaine Vougeraie.
Bizot offering from France:
2 bottles of GC, 2 bottles of PC, and 9 bottles of village wine for the low price of 23,800 euros !
BBR offered the wines last week, they are incredibly expensive.
That is a very nice looking box. Not sure its worth 5k Euro though.
You have to start to wonder about Bizot’s Carma with pricing and boxes like this though
Obviously not my box but I was told its made by some famous cigar humidor maker but I already have enough vices with wine so couldn’t say who it is.
The inside makes me wonder if it’s made by Elie Bleu, indeed a well-known humidor maker whose models do run in this price ballpark.
It’s a bold move. One wonders how many Bizot collectors don’t have their own temp controlled storage.
Those certainly look like Elie Bleu humidifiers on the box
Didn’t we just do this in the other thread you just started?
Give the guy a break… I might post twice if I just had a 1979 Jayer Cros-Parantoux and maybe even thrice if I had the 78!
Its called a Humble Brag, and with those wines I’d say we allow it
I bought a few (3?) bottles of ‘79 C-P shortly after it was released. I think I paid around $mid-20s. Yes, I drank them all. Who knew the prices on Jayer would get into the ya-gotta-be-fucking-kidding?! range.
Yes. It is against forum rules to post twice, if the topic is spot on? If so, I can remove the post. I am relatively new to this forum. Do not want to offend anyone.
Not against any official rules per se. Cross posting is typically discouraged however by common online forum etiquette. If you find this thread better suited to your content, you could always ask the mods to merge your thread into this one.
OK, thanks for the heads up. I deleted the post. Mark
Andrew doesn’t like his bragging to be upstaged.
Domaine Leflaive decided to raise their prices across the board for their 2023 EP. Very disappointing and hope it is not a sign of what is to come.
