HELLO BERZERKERS!
It’s good to be back! After our breakout “Newbie” experience last year, this year feels like a much-awaited second date. Throughout the years, we have hosted many of you in our winery. In fact some of you have been with us for our entire journey, even tasting with us in our tiny McMinnville house with our first vintage. Being a part of the Berzerker community and this event feels like a natural fit.

For this special one-day bonanza and for those of you who are quick on the draw, we tucked into our scant library to put together two special LIMITED lots with library wines (see Offers 5 & 6). Berzerker Day is the ONLY time we offer library bottles, so we hope you snap them up.

Additional bonus! Since our 2022 vintage is sold through, we’re pre-releasing some of our new wines from the stellar 2023 vintage for you. 2023 was fantastic harvest with early and abundant flowering in most vineyards. Warm days mixed with a little much-needed rain in the last week of August set in motion a steady beat of picking in mid September up until the first week of October. Most of the the 2023s (Sequitur, Lone Feather, Carson Phillips, & Eola-Amity) have a deep garnet color with ripe tannins and loads of pure fruit aromas. The outlier is the Bednarik vineyard, always last in the door, which in '23 produced a more perfumed & elegant wine for the vintage. Across the board these '23 wines are sexy and delicious.

For BD16 ALL ORDERS ARE SHIPPED FREE as soon as it is warm enough to ship to your zone. Exceptions include AK, AR, HI, and UT.

This wine hails from the La Mani Vineyard formerly know as the River Rock Vineyard. The roots of these Syrah vines work hard to pull nutrients from ancient alluvial deposits of rocks and silt from the Blue Mountains. This wine is layered with earth, smoked game, espresso and classic olive tone that are more similar to the Rhone valley than anything in North America.

ABOUT US
Who: Grant Coulter & Renée Saint-Amour
Where: Winery + Headquarters in McMinnville, OR
In 2006 we headed for the Willamette Valley to join its vibrant community of winemakers and vine tenders. We always had a dream of someday pioneering a project of our own. Grant’s 20 years in Willamette Valley cellars and vineyards (Hamacher, Beaux Freres, Flaneur) gave him the experience to forge a path of his own and the curiosity to want to push the limits.

In 2015 our dream was realized when Renée left her job in education, we sold our house, and put all the money into our first 450 cases. Since then, we’ve grown Hundred Suns through experience and grit (the two of us still manage all aspects of the winery and business). Our gained experience has given us the tools to create wines of purity and balance, yet we are always driving to learn and experiment in the winery so that we can create wines that are foremost delicious but always with a little something special you can’t quite put your finger on.

We’re thrilled to be here today in the midst of so many other wine lovers and hope you all visit us next time you come through the WIllamette Valley.

Thanks Frank! The 2023’s are pretty stunning. All blends and single vineyards have gorgeous fruit characters, very pure. We have just started opening them and getting to know them, you won’t be disappointed!

Hi Diana! Yeah that Breaker is special, the second to last year before we had to pull the vineyard out. I love that wine, dusty cherries and mineral and beautiful acid streak. It’s still cruising along with many more years of enjoyment in that bottle.
