I dont know? What exactly does this mean?
Vertical is the same bottling/producer from multiple years and horizontal is different bottlings/producers from the same year? Both methods of comparison.
Vertical: 1990 Latour, 1991 Latour, 1992 Latour, 1993 Latour . . . . 1999 Latour, 2000 Latour, 2001 Latour. . . etc
Horizontal: 2000 Latour, 2000 Mouton, 2000 Haut Brion, 2000 Margaux, 2000 Lafite, 2000 Cheval Blanc, 2000 Ausone
Vertical = Pre-Drinkin’
Horizontal = Post-Drinkin’

Thanks
And for the laugh too
Hozizontal could also be used for all of a producer’s wines from a single vintage as well.
Yep…
Like 2010 Patricia Green Pinot Noir: Anna, Boneshaw, and Etzel Vineyards. All the same year, same producer, same grape, but different vineyards/bottlings
Vertical - Still drinking
Horizontal - Not drinking any more
Vertical - Detecting earth
Horizontal - Eating earth
