cooking up one of these tonight. I don’t remember what i did with it last time as it’s been almost 2 years. I am sure there is lots of flavor with just salt and pepper. Anyone marinate these?
Yes, I marinate flank steaks or do dry rubs. One marinade I like is a beer, soy sauce, fresh ginger and garlic marinade. The soy sauce acts like a brine and helps keep the steak moist.
I marinate Heartbrand flank steaks two or three days in a plastic bag with Wishbone Italian dressing. It’s a family favorite. When there are leftovers–which is not often–they make great sandwiches.
Actually did one last night over at Denny’s…
Half cup of dark Korean soy sauce
Quarter cup each of grapeseed oil, rice wine vinegar and orange juice
Marinated for about three hours before grilling. Went nicely with Koshihikari fried rice.
i did it with, soy sauce, evoo, fresh lime juice, scallions, ginger, garlic cloves
only had time for an hour marinate. should have been longer.
made great steak sandwiches today too
They are also very nice marinated in a nice Dry Sherry. Then drink the Sherry along with them… I’ve always liked it and they go over well
