I’m no doctor but I felt a dull pain for 2-3 days after La Paulee weekend in my upper right abdomen. I wasn’t doing any sit-ups during the event so I’m choosing to believe it was somehow related to the 100s of wines I consumed over 3 days. I maybe have a glass or two a week typically.
Thank you!
Thank you!
I’ve adopted this as well, except the liter of fluids before bedtime.
Need to try this.
though pretty happy with my electrolyte + zbiotic
You really do have to try Myrkl, it’s insane.
This hits different with the Waterboy mixed in. Less need to pee 6 hours later.
I used to avoid that as well for obvious reasons, but found it really makes a difference even if I already drank 2 quarts of water earlier in the day. So now I suffer through a nighttime bathroom trip and feel better for it.
I’m gonna try completely preloading the wine fix 1-2 hours before drinking which may work better.
Meaning 5 caps before and none after?
Correct; per the mechanism of action it should work better taken before.
I think your body can only use so much at a time. With TWF as well as Mirkl I find consistency works the best rather than more pills at once. You can preload TWF a day or two early also.
Yeah I think preloading may potentially be a more effective
way to take it, but if you’re going to take 5 the day of, I think it’s more useful 5 before than 3 before 3 after.
What’s the current rankign between Mrykl, ZBiotics, DHM, Waterboy for folks?
For me, I think its Zbiotics > Waterboy > Mrykl > DHM. But this is speculative as I’ve lost track of the combinations/permutations. Sounds like folks think Mrykl > Zbiotics (ignoring cost)
I don’t rank the ingredients separately because they have synergistic effects. If I was going to drop anything it’d be zbiotics because they’re the most expensive, and have similar mechanism of action to the the wine fix which is much less expensive per dose.
Won’t pretend to think that I have the same understanding of what these specialised products does to one, except electrolytes, which I did nights and mornings on my last ‘tasting-trip’. Just electrolytes plus the liter of water before bed helps so much. Replenish the system.
Hydration is definitely the first thing to do if nothing else. That’s basically all I did for years with great results when I was younger, along with some Vitamin C and L-Cysteine and Thiamine sometimes.
As far as supplements, I’ve never had Myrkl on its own, but it was certainly a game changer when added. I would also drop Zbiotics first as I didn’t notice as much of a difference when I added it. I may actually try that next time.
I will try MYRKL, but am a firm believer in ZBiotics. And each person I’ve provided it to has reported meaningfully reduced hangovers. It is by no means a cure-all, but it does reduce one’s hangover. I am a skeptic, generally, and if this is placebo effect, it’s wonderful, but I do think this works and having read I Contain Multitudes and then read through the science on ZBiotics, I’m a believer.
Used it last weekend for Masters boozing. Gave some to my dad who is now a ZBiotics customer/believer. Passed some around for wine dudes’ weekend, and believe Carnes, Alfert were both believers.
I like zbiotics too, but Myrkl is a totally different animal. It reduces your BAC, not hangovers.
I added Myrkl to the prep this past weekend and, while I did notice improvement the next day, it also seemed to make me feel odd while I was drinking. I am not sure I liked it.
